Mayor Michael J. Ryan, along with fellow local leaders, is partnering with local organizations to help alleviate food insecurity for Sunrise residents in need.
Farm Share, Torre Fuerte Church, and the City of Sunrise are partnering to host a free drive-thru food distribution event on Saturday, August 16, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Torre Fuerte Church, located at 7800 Northwest 39th Street.
The Farm Share event will provide fresh produce, pantry staples, and essential groceries at no cost to the community. No registration is required, and food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Along with Mayor Michael J. Ryan, Deputy Mayor Neil C. Kerch, Assistant Deputy Mayor Jacqueline A. Guzman, Commissioner Latoya S. Clarke, and Commissioner Joseph A. Scuotto have all helped this event come together.
