Blue Realty in Coral Springs has announced new ownership as Ashley Baillio joins co-founders Michael Longo and Steve Boyette as a business partner and owner.
The move is meant to support agent retention and growth initiatives in an uncertain real estate climate.
Baillio, a Parkland resident, moved to South Florida with her husband and son in 2015 to open a Chick-fil-A franchise in Deerfield Beach. While her husband continues to operate two franchises, Baillio will use her experience in training and business development to grow the Blue Realty brand.
The addition of Baillio to the leadership team comes as the National Association of Realtors is forecasting a 7 percent decline in closed real estate transactions for 2023 due in part to an increase in mortgage rates. This puts pressure on agents, who are often only compensated upon the successful close of transactions.
Despite the challenges facing the real estate industry, Baillio believes her skills and experience make her a valuable asset to Blue Realty.
“The whiplash created by a rapidly shifting market could be viewed as intimidating and possibly make this the worst time to take ownership in a real estate brokerage,” she said. “I suspect that it is exactly these challenges which make me valuable to an already profitable company.”
