The Coral Glades Junior Jaguars pre-K classroom. {Dr. Mark Kaplan}
There’s still time to enroll your child in the Junior Jaguars Pre-K program this fall.
Coral Glades High School is enriching its educational offerings next academic year by introducing a unique learning environment for both pre-kindergarten children and high school students involved in the Early Childhood program.
The students will work closely under the supervision of a newly appointed, certified preschool teacher and an assistant, gaining hands-on experience and fulfilling necessary hours towards their certification in early childhood education, said Principal Mark Kaplan.
According to him, the classroom is now complete. They have a teacher and an assistant, and there are a few spots available.
The Junior Jaguars VPK program is not just a learning opportunity for students; it offers a vital service to the school and district employees by providing a trusted preschool option. Young learners interact with older students, fostering a unique mentorship and learning dynamic, while the high schoolers gain invaluable real-world experience in early childhood education.
The VPK program, which also includes Boyd Anderson and West Broward High Schools for the 2024/2025 school year, is designed to accept 3—and 4-year-olds, with priority given to school employees’ children.
