Track and Field star Joshua Anderson from Coconut Creek High School is officially signed to run at St. Thomas University in Miami.
“It feels amazing, and I’m thankful for the opportunity,” Anderson said. St. Thomas University is local and was also my coach’s recommendation. They also have a good sprint coach.”
Anderson ran in nearly half a dozen events this year, including winning the 4 x 800 in the Coconut Creek Invitational and Cardinal Gibbons Open with a best time of 8:49.50.
That relay team also finished in second played three times, third place twice, and fifth in the District Tournament. He had his best success in the long races, including the 1600 and 3200 meters. He also finished first in the 400 hurdles while coming in the top five 11 times in 2023.
