Coconut Creek Crime Update: Man Arrested For Possession Of A Machine Gun

This is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through July 15, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents.

Battery

A victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at Carrington was reported on 07/09/2024.

A victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at Bell Apartments on Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 07/11/2024. The total estimated loss was $250. Bicycle Theft, Battery on an LEO, and Burglary Residence were reported.

A victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at Banyan Bay was reported on 07/11/2024.

Property Damage

A victim of Property Damage on Winston Park Blvd/Lyons Road was reported on 07/09/2024.

A victim of property damage at Country Lakes Mobile Home Park on Lakeview Drive was reported on 07/11/2024. A black iPhone 15 Pro was bitten by a K-9 named Lucky while inside an officer’s pocket and destroyed.

Theft

A victim of Theft from a Motor Vehicle was reported at Marketplace At Hillsboro, 4233 W Hillsboro Blvd, on 07/09/2024. The total estimated loss was $16,000.

Jaxson Diesel LLC was the victim of Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories at the Hampton Inn 5740 N State Road 7 was reported on 07/13/2024. The total estimated loss was $3,400. Catalytic converters were reported stolen.

A victim of a Bicycle theft at Cusano’s Bakery, 5480 Hillsboro Blvd, was reported on 07/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $3,000.

Home Depot was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting at 4550 N State Road 7 was reported on 07/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,085.

A victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle at Elliot Cocoplum on Cocoplum Circle was reported on 07/12/2024. The total estimated loss was $800. An iPad was taken from a vehicle.

Puravida was a victim of Theft from a Motor Vehicle at 4601 NW 30 Street, which was reported on 07/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $535. A Kinder Care laptop was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Mercedes Benz of Coconut was the victim of Vehicle Theft—auto at 4250 N State Road 7, which was reported on 07/12/2024.

Fraud

A victim of Fraud—other at Bank of America on N State Road 7 was reported on 07/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,500. The female victim reports that $2,500 was fraudulently withdrawn from her BOA account.
