The City of Margate held a solemn Patriot Day Ceremony on Wednesday at Firefighters Park to honor the lives lost during the September 11 attacks, particularly the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The ceremony also remembered the thousands who have succumbed to long-term health effects as a result of the attacks.
Attendees included members of the Margate City Commission, State Representative Christine Hunschofsky, staff from the Margate Fire Department and Police Department, and representatives from the New York City Fire Department.
