In a recruitment drive, Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is inviting job seekers to a Back-to-School Career Fair slated for Saturday, July 22, 2023.
The district is working to fill approximately 1,300 job openings, spanning a range of positions from teachers to food service workers.
The career fair will take place at Western High School in Davie, where attendees will have a unique opportunity to meet face-to-face with school principals, district staff, and human resource personnel.
Those who qualify may be offered immediate positions, making the event a potential turning point for those seeking to embark on a career in education or other related fields.
The openings include positions for teachers, school counselors, speech-language pathologists, classroom and teacher assistants, bus drivers, security staff, custodians, and food service workers.
The large number of vacancies provides ample opportunities for job seekers with a variety of skills and interests.
Candidates interested in participating are encouraged to register online via the dedicated event page: https://bcpscareers.com/summerfair-2023. Prospective applicants are advised to come prepared with multiple copies of their resume, a list of questions for principals, supervisors, and HR staff, and a readiness to discuss their career path interests.
Interviews will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the school district advises job seekers to arrive early, given the possibility of on-the-spot job offers.
BCPS offers a competitive benefits package to its employees, including 100% paid medical insurance, paid time off, free professional development opportunities, and retirement plans under the Florida Retirement System.
