Don’t miss an opportunity to do something good for the community while earning service hours for school. Join the annual Waterway Cleanup in Riverside Park on Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event is part of the Broward County Cleanup program, the county’s largest and longest-running environmental event where last year, more than 1,100 volunteers of all ages and 300 boats volunteered throughout 35 sites across Broward County to remove 25 tons of trash and debris from inland waterways.
Louis Goldstein is the city representative, and former Coral Springs Mayor Roy Gold is the site coordinator who has been part of the Waterway Clean Up program for over 25 years.
You can meet them both by the boat ramp at Riverside Park, located at 205 Coral Ridge Drive. Students can register for the Waterway Cleanup here. Contact Gold at 954-971-4040 or Goldstein at 954-345-2112 with questions.
