Highlights from the City’s Largest Pizza Party

In a delicious display of community spirit, the City of Coral Springs hosted its most mouthwatering event to date, the “City’s Largest Pizza Party.”
Held on November 4, over 1,500 pizza lovers gathered at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts to devour a staggering 3,500 slices of pizza.
This pizza extravaganza featured representatives from 15 Coral Springs-based pizzerias, each generously offering slices to attendees. Every Coral Springs resident in attendance was treated to two free slices, courtesy of their preferred pizzeria(s).
However, this was not just a feast for the taste buds. Guests embraced their competitive side with exciting contests, including the thrilling “highest dough toss” and the adrenaline-pumping “pizza box racing.” Even Coral Springs Mayor Scott Brook and City Commissioner Joy Carter couldn’t resist joining the fun, taking on a pizza box folding and stacking challenge.
In an unexpected twist, Coral Springs City Manager Frank Babinec turned into a pizza maestro for the evening, operating his pop-up pizzeria aptly named “Frank’s Bistro” all in the name of charity.
The “City’s Largest Pizza Party” was not just about indulging in cheesy goodness; it marked the grand finale of a yearlong series of celebrations honoring the city’s 60th Anniversary.
