A 29-year-old woman was killed in a house fire in Tamarac Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The fire happened in unit #203 at 7900 S. Colony Circle and was reported at 3:30 a.m., according to Greg Rosenberg, a city spokesperson. He said no other injuries were reported, and the woman was the only person in the apartment at the time.
Her name was not immediately made public by authorities.
The fire was contained to the one unit, and no other injuries were reported, according to Rosenberg.
The BSO homicide unit was on the scene, Rosenberg said. BSO is investigating the situation, and the cause of the fire is currently unknown, he said.
