The highly anticipated first debate between former President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris is about to take center stage, and local Democratic leaders are inviting the community to watch it live and rally around Harris.
A “Harris for President Debate Watch Party” will take place on Tuesday, September 10, at 7:30 p.m. at Paragon Theaters, located inside The Plaza at Coral Springs II, 770 Riverside Drive.
A coalition of local Democratic leaders and organizations will host the watch party. Notable hosts include Coral Springs Commissioner Joshua Simmons and members of the Coral Springs-Parkland Democratic Club, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Democratic Club, and the Greater Pompano Beach Democratic Club.
The event allows local Democrats to watch the debate and rally behind Vice President Harris during an evening of debate topics that will likely include discussing Trump and Harris’s campaign platforms, their past accomplishments and challenges, and, of course, some unforeseen fireworks that are routine for presidential debates, but even more anticipated with Trump on stage.
Attendees are encouraged to pre-register for the event. Click here to reserve your spot.
