Runner’s Depot celebrated a grand opening on October 1 with friends and community leaders.
Open since January, the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce and commission members hosted a ribbon cutting.
Runner’s Depot moved from the Shoppes at Heron Lakes to The Walk at 2806 North University Drive.
Steve Mesiano, general manager, was pleased to see people having a good time at the store.
“This is a good location for our store. We get a lot of foot traffic from The Walk and the surrounding community. It is a pleasant environment,” said Mesiano.
Runner’s Depot offers a variety of products for runners and exercise enthusiasts, including popular shoe brands like Brooks, Nike, and New Balance. In addition to shoes, customers can purchase running shorts, shirts, and socks.
According to Mesiano, podiatrists have referred their patients to Runner’s Deport for specially designed shoes.
Before a customer buys a pair of shoes, they receive a complete gait analysis and are asked about any issues during running. Mesiano is an experienced runner who has participated in 5K runs and half-marathons.
“I want to ensure we provide the best products and services to our customers and keep up with current trends,” said Mesiano, who added that he tries to run at least five days a week.
Runner’s Depot is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
