Coral Springs Charter’s Juhnyee See won her second straight State Championship in tennis on April 28
See, who won doubles last year playing with Madisen Clark, took home a State Championship in singles this year after previously winning a District Title individually.
“It felt amazing to win states again, and I am really grateful for the support of my parents and coaches because it wouldn’t have been possible without them,” See said. “During my matches, I was definitely feeling a little nervous in the beginning, but I started to focus more, and I just played my matches relaxed and point by point.”
See finished the season with a record of 12-3, including six wins in the postseason. See also did not drop more than three games in any of her four matches in States and lost just one game in her first two matches before winning 6-3, 6-3 in both the Semifinals and Championship matches. Head Coach Melissa Shank calls See one of a kind.
“Being able to watch her compete and this level and be very successful is incredible,” Shank said. “I am so lucky to be a part of her journey and hope she finds all the success she deserves. “
See still has one more year left on the varsity tennis team before going to college.
