Broward County has released a list of locations where voters can participate in early voting for the August 20th Primary Elections, which begins this weekend.
Broward voters registered by July 22 are eligible to participate in early voting at any of the 28 designated locations across the county. The locations will open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. through Sunday, August 18.
In a press release announcing its opening, Joe Scott, the Broward County Supervisor of Elections, emphasized the importance of early voting and encouraged eligible residents to take advantage of its convenience.
“Early voting is a great opportunity for voters to cast their ballots at a time and location that is most convenient for them. We have made it as accessible and secure as possible to ensure everyone can participate in the democratic process,” Scott said.
Scott added that he advises voters to turn out early to beat the mad dash to the polls: “I urge all eligible voters to use this period and ensure their voices are heard. Don’t forget to bring a friend or family member with you when voting early.”
As the law requires, you must bring a picture ID with a signature to vote early.
At each site, voters with disabilities will have access to machines that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Secure ballot intake drop-boxes will also be available at all locations for voters to submit their Vote-By-Mail ballots.
