Ramblewood Middle School on Atlantic Blvd. {Google Maps}
By Sharon Aron Baron
Coral Springs is set to undergo substantial road maintenance this summer, taking advantage of the school vacation period.
The County’s Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) has slated roadwork near Ramblewood Middle School to start on Monday, June 12, with an aim to conclude by August 18.
The project, financed through the Gas Tax, will involve an array of infrastructural enhancements. The HBMD has detailed plans for median curb repairs, comprehensive roadway resurfacing, and paving. A notable aspect of the project includes the installation of root barriers to minimize pavement damage from tree roots – an innovative approach to maintaining road quality.
The project will run weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., predominantly affecting Atlantic Blvd. where all six lanes will undergo resurfacing. The scope stretches from the East Coral Square Mall Access Road to east of the Ramblewood Plaza shopping center.
One lane will remain accessible in each direction throughout the project duration, ensuring minimal disruption.
