
Coral Glades Volleyball Holds Senior Night. {Coral Glades Athletics}
All four Coral Springs high school volleyball teams participated in their District Tournament, with one team advancing.
Coral Glades recorded the lone victory, beating Monarch High School 25-17, 25-19, 25-20 in the opening round after entering the postseason as the fourth seed. However, they lost 25-8, 25-20, and 25-11 in the semifinals against Boca Raton Community High School.
The Jaguars beat the Knights in four sets earlier this year and won against Nova, Hollywood Hills, Charles W. Flanagan High School, and J.P. Taravella High School this season. Their seniors graduating are Aryanna Blanco, Megan Cecil, Paula Ochoa-Anzola, Lindsey Perlmutter, Saniyah Tulloch, Jessica Fele, and Kamika Rivas.
Coral Springs Charter girl’s volleyball was knocked out of the opening round of the District Tournament for the second straight session following a five-set loss oss against Cardinal Gibbons High School. The Panthers fell 15-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25–19, 15-8 despite 19 kills from Samantha McMillan. She finished the year with 296, followed by Jade Jade Keen with 111.
Alyson Gates closed the year out with a team-high 31 aces, while Keen led the team in blocks, and Kailey Michaelson shined with digs. Olivia Gregco closed the year out with 328, followed by Isabella Nilsoon, who had 211.
The Panthers finished the year with a record of 10-8 and will have three seniors graduating this year: Francesca Schirripa, Kaine Keen, and Allyson Gates.
Coral Springs High School came into the postseason as the sixth seed and lost to Deerfield Beach High School in their opening match. The Lady Colts finished the season with two wins, both coming over Dillard High School. They also played competitively in two five-set matches and one four-set match. Still, they finished the year with 11 losses and will have Mustafa, Tatianna Faison, Rebecca Assena, Kaylah Pinkney, and Kaylee Belliard graduate from their team this year.

J.P. Taravella lost in its opening District Tournament match against Marjory Stoneman Douglas after coming in as the seventh seed. However, the Trojans still had a strong season, beating Dillard, Blanche Ely, Plantation, Stranahan, Coconut Creek, and Miramar High School. Their seniors were Aniza Zahid, U’myri Bain, Valentine Arias, Brooke Bunting, Chelsea Baxter, Lauren Beaty, and Camilla Cuba Dorado.
