Coral Glades High School’s Drama department has announced its latest production – You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.
Set to take place at the JP Taravella Auditorium, beginning with the first show on Thursday, April 25, the performances will showcase the talent of Coral Glades students who have been rehearsing for quite some time in preparation.
According to Coral Glades High School Theatre Director Diana Focas, the production has been in preparation since January, with students dedicating their class time and after-school hours to rehearsals and technical work.
She tells Coral Springs Talk that the team will tackle the logistical challenge of moving their set-up to JP Taravella’s Auditorium for final rehearsals the week before the show.
Forcas says that the show represents an opportunity for the students to showcase their talents and a testament to the importance of arts education and community support in nurturing young talent.
The cast features Samuel Franco in the leading role of Charlie Brown, with Trinity Moss bringing to life the beloved character Snoopy. Ivy Levine as Sally, Lucy Forrest as Lucy, Darien Qualles as Linus, and Keon Silas as Schroeder complete the primary cast.
Forcas adds that the ensemble comprising Arielle Andre, Esaias Brown, Paris Crooks, Kal El Dillon, Lamarah Hamilton, Isabella Jagan, Vivian Marsiello, Abigail Miller, Grace Montoya, Xavier Valerio, and Lannah Victor adds depth and variety to the production, vital to the storytelling aspect.
In addition to the on-stage talent, the production is supported by a dedicated technical crew led by students in key leadership roles. Technical Directors Ismail Elhassan and Kailyn Forrest, Stage Manager and Lead Makeup Artist Savanna Green, and a team of specialists in props, wardrobe, hair styling, sound, lighting, and choreography.
“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” is a delightful musical that brings to life Charles M. Schulz’s beloved Peanuts comic strip characters. The play, with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, debuted in 1967 and has since become a favorite in theaters worldwide.
Shows are scheduled for Thursday, April 25, and Friday, April 26, at 7:00 p.m., with a special matinee on Saturday, April 27, at 1:00 p.m. General admission tickets are $16, with a discounted rate of $11 for students, school staff, and seniors aged 55 and above.
“This has been a very long but gratifying process,” Forcas tells Coral Springs Talk. It’s an honor, a privilege, and a true joy to my heart to direct and lead these students.”
“We hope that as many community members as possible come out to support arts education and the Coral Glades Drama students who have been working so hard to entertain everyone.”

Please correct the spelling of Coral Glades High School drama teacher’s name. This is in relation to the high school production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”. She is DIANA FOCAS not Forcas. It was spelled correctly the first time, but three other times followed incorrectly. ?? Thank you.
