Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through June 24, 2024.

Theft

A victim of Theft from a Motor Vehicle at the Tradewinds Apartments on NW 42 Avenue was reported on 06/18/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,950. The theft was from an auto, with the window smashed and tools stolen.

Kohl’s was a victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting at 6950 N State Road 7 was reported on 06/19/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,272.

A victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle in Winston Park at the 4000 block of Winston Park Blvd was reported on 06/23/2024. The total estimated loss was $470.

Home Depot was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting at 4550 N State Road 7 was reported on 06/18/2024. The total estimated loss was $469.

A victim of Vehicle Theft—auto at 5450 Lyons Road in Windsor was reported on 06/20/2024. The total estimated loss was $135.

A victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto in Baywood 2 on NW 22 Street was reported on 06/19/2024.

Fraud

A victim of Fraud—Identity Theft was reported in Tamarind Village on 06/20/2024. The total estimated loss was $20,833. An SBA PPP Loan was fraudulently opened, totaling $20,833.33.

A victim of Fraud-Wire/Computer on NW 41 Avenue was reported on 06/18/2024. Fraud funds were taken from an online account.

Burglary

A victim of Burglary – Residence in Wynmoor was reported on 06/22/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,000.

A victim of Burglary – Residence in Country Club Lakes on NW 55th Blvd was reported on 06/18/2024.

Battery

A victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at the Bell in Coconut Creek Apartments on W Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 06/20/2024.

A victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike in Wynmoor was reported on 06/23/2024.

Animal Complaint

A victim of Animal Complaint – Other in Wynmoor on Aruba Way was reported on 06/20/2024. Cats were reported in an apartment after the owner deceased.

Elderly Abuse/Neglect

A victim of Elderly Abuse/Neglect in Bell was reported on 06/21/2024.

Criminal Mischief

The City of Coconut Creek was the victim of Criminal Mischief—Government at Banyan Bay—Unit #1288 at 4511 W Atlantic Blvd, which was reported on 06/22/2024. A driver intentionally damaged the unit in a crash.

Suspicious Incident

A victim of a Suspicious Incident in Hammock Estates at the 1400 block of NW 49th Avenue was reported on 06/23/2024. A Father took an 11-year-old to get a Brazilian Wax.

Arrests

Gilliam, Antoine Gwynne, 58, was arrested on a charge of Grand Theft>$300<$5000 at 4450 N State Road 7 on 06/19/2024.

Miller, Tarnette, 54, was arrested on a charge of Grand Theft>$750<$5000 at 6950 N State Road 7 on 06/19/2024.

Allen, Jamari Malik, 22, was arrested on a charge of Grand Theft Auto at 5550 NW 40 Street on 06/21/2024.

Nestor, Victor Andres, 18, was arrested on a charge of Trespassing Occupied Structure Or Conveyance at 1100 NW 43rd Avenue on 06/23/2024.
