Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through March 20.
Fraud – Impersonation
A 26-year-old male was the victim of Fraud – Impersonation on NW 52 Steet was reported on 03/14/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,100. The subject used the victim’s name and address to send electronic goods that were fraudulently purchased.
Property Found
A Vivitar Phoenix Drone was found on a roof on NW 63th Drive and was reported on 03/14/2023.
Electronic Harassment
A 34-year-old female was the victim of Electronic Harassment on W Atlantic Blvd was reported on 03/15/2023. A Coconut Creek Elementary 3rd-grade student received unwanted harassing facetime dialog from another 3rd-grade student while at her residence.
Theft – From Motor Vehicle
A 23-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From Motor Vehicle at LA Fitness on Lyons Road. Miscellaneous items were taken from a vehicle that was reported on 03/15/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,260.
Indecent Exposure/Lewd Lascivious Act
A 55-year-old female was the victim of Indecent Exposure/Lewd Lascivious Act on Sol Press Blvd. This was reported on 03/16/2023 at Lyons Creek Middle School.
Fraud – Other
A victim of Fraud – Other on Lyons Technology was reported on 03/16/2023. The total estimated loss was $5,051. 2 checks were mailed out but deposited remotely by someone other than the intended party.
A victim of Fraud – Other on Lyons Technology Parkway was reported on 03/16/2023. The total estimated loss was $10,336.
Theft – Retail/Shoplifting
Sephora was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on Lyons Road was reported on 03/17/2023. The total estimated loss was $235.
Fraud – Use Of Credit Card
A 76-year-old female was the victim of Fraud – Use Of a Credit Card on Carambola Cir S was reported on 03/17/2023. The total estimated loss was $455.
Arrests
Howard, Alphonas, 61, was arrested on a charge of Driving While License Suspended Third Or Subsq Offense at 200 Lyons Road on 03/14/2023.
Maugeri, Leianne Marie, 46, was arrested on a charge of Petite Theft at 600 Lyons Road on 03/14/2023.
Brideau, Charles Alvin, 44, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1st Offense at 4400 Wiles Road on 03/14/2023.
Gonzalez, Rafael, 51, was arrested on a charge of Dui 1st Offense at 3700 Coconut Creek Parkway on 03/15/2023.
Desimone, Pasquale, 51, was arrested on a charge of Dui 1st Offense at 3700 W Sample Road on 03/16/2023.
Lopez-Ramirez, Catalina, 40, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 03/18/2023
Wright, Latoya Shantel, 36, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1st Offense at 3600 W Sample Road on 03/18/2023.
Morales-Hernandez, Miriam Felix, 40, was arrested on a charge of abusing a child Without Great Bodily Harm on 03/18/2023.
Strano, Angelo A., 43, was arrested on a charge of Grand Theft at 6970 N State Road 7 on 03/19/2023.
