City of Sunrise to Host Free Bridal Expo, Offer 50% Discount on Wedding Venue Rentals

Couples planning a wedding will have the chance to explore affordable options and local vendors during the City of Sunrise’s first Signature Sunrise Bridal Expo on Saturday, March 7.

The free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Signature Sunrise, 10610 W. Oakland Park Blvd., and will feature the venue’s first runway fashion show for brides-to-be along with vendor exhibits, tastings, and planning resources.

City officials say the expo is designed to help couples navigate rising wedding costs while showcasing the city-owned venue as a budget-friendly option for ceremonies and receptions.

Signature Sunrise, recently reimagined as an event venue, can accommodate up to 360 guests in its ballrooms. Because the venue is municipally owned, Sunrise residents and businesses receive a 50 percent discount on rental rates. Eight-hour ballroom rentals are available to residents for as low as $1,000.

The event will feature several activities, including a runway fashion show highlighting the latest bridal gowns, hair, and makeup trends. Attendees can also sample a reception-style tasting menu with gourmet charcuterie, specialty lattes, and custom cocktail inspirations.

Local photographers, florists, planners, and other wedding professionals will also be on site to meet with couples and discuss event planning options.

The first 100 couples who pre-register for the expo will receive complimentary gifts, including a curated wedding planning bag and a glass of bubbly.

Admission is free, though organizers encourage couples to pre-register and arrive early to secure the welcome gifts.
