Sunrise Comic Con {City of Sunrise}
The Sunrise Comic Con, the largest pop culture festival in West Broward County, Florida, is set to take place on March 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The event will feature various attractions, including special guests, artist and author panels, cosplay contests, food vendors, merchandise vendors, open-play gaming sessions, and gaming tournaments.
Special guests include South Florida-based cosplayer Snarky Jay Cosplay, known for her diverse character portrayals, and Dr. Bill Slevin, a renowned paranormal investigator and demonologist. Stuntmen Chris Zaragoza and John Carmichael, along with voice actors Romulo Bernal, Ernesto Rumbaut, and Juan Felipe Sierra, will also be in attendance.
Cosplay enthusiasts can participate in the contest scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on the main theatre stage. Registration is limited to the first 75 participants, with online registration available from March 14 until 2:30 p.m. on the event day. In-person registration will also be open during the event from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the theatre lobby.
Gaming activities include a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament hosted by Flynn’s Arcade & More, featuring multiple setups and single-elimination rounds, as well as free play gaming sessions provided by Hero Hype Inc.
Theatre entertainment will encompass various interactive panels and discussions, such as “The Theme Song Guessing Game – Anime Edition,” “Disney Trivia,” and “Living Life Haunted,” presented by Dr. Bill Slevin. The event will culminate with the Ultimate Smash Brothers Tournament Finals and the Cosplay Contest Finals.
Ticket prices are $20 for adults and $10 for children.
