The J.P. Taravella basketball team had a busy summer, competing in multiple tournaments.
The Trojans began with a tournament at Keiser University and were the only team to go 7-0 after beating Braddock, Countryside, Naples, Belen Jesuit, St. John Paul, Stranahan, and Boyd H. Anderson High School. They went on to win two more games at Florida Memorial University before finishing the summer 12-1.
Their only loss came by one point in overtime. According to Max Preps, JPT finished the summer ranked in the top ten in the state. The Trojans are coming off a season where they went 15-7 and will look to make a run for a State Championship under Head Coach Eric Kapel.
