A 15-year-old boy was shot in Coconut Creek Thursday night, police said.
The shooting happened at 8:08 p.m. in the 3500 block of Cocoplum Circle. The victim was taken to Broward Health for treatment.
“Good news was that he was conscious and alert when we got here,” police wrote on social media. “At this point, we believe this is an isolated incident. Nothing indicates this was any type of ‘stranger danger’ event.”
No arrests had been made, police said, and the investigation was ongoing.
