The City of Sunrise will host its inaugural Sunrise Business Summit on Saturday, Sept. 19, offering local business owners free training, networking opportunities and access to government resources.
The summit will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Flamingo Hall, 12855 NW Eighth St.
In a press release, the city stated the event will help businesses respond to changing consumer behavior, artificial intelligence and evolving social media platforms. Hundreds of local business owners are expected to attend the expert-led sessions and connect with regional economic development resources.
Carlos Gil, a bestselling author and former LinkedIn executive, will deliver the keynote address. Gil, the author of “The End of Marketing,” will discuss how businesses can use artificial intelligence and new social media strategies to reach customers with little or no advertising budget.
Danielle Lima, the city’s economic development director, will provide information about local economic incentives, business support programs and opportunities available in Sunrise.
Attendees will also have opportunities to network with other business owners, exchange ideas and learn from entrepreneurs operating in South Florida.
The Sunrise Business Summit is free, but advance registration is required. For more information or to register, visit sunrisefl.gov/bizsummit
