This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through October 7, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents.
Information
A victim of Information on NW 94 Avenue was reported on 10/01/2024. BSO Fire Rescue Engine 15 responded to Millenium Middle School about a fire alarm. They had to break the exterior gate lock to enter the parking lot.
A victim of Information was reported on 10/04/2024. The complainant advised he paid for a service that was not completed as promised.
A victim of Information was reported on 10/02/2024. The complainant wanted his mother to return his rent money due to him, and he wanted to move out.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud—All Other was reported on 10/03/2024. The total estimated loss was $16,950. The victim paid for hurricane windows and doors, but the project hasn`t started.
A victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 10/02/2024. The total estimated loss was $13,695. USPS money orders were sent under the perception it was the victim’s mortgage loan company.
A victim of Fraud—Credit Card/ATM —was reported on 10/02/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,540. The victim’s credit card was fraudulently used at several locations.
City Electric Supply was a victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 10/04/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,495. The subject attempted to pick up supply materials under a fraudulent pick-up order.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 10/02/2024. The wife showed up to her husband’s place of worship and physically beat him up.
A victim of Battery was reported on 10/03/2024. The victim was involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical with her child’s father.
Theft
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 10/04/2024. The total estimated loss was $640. An unknown subject(s) stole an item from the victim’s mailbox.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 10/03/2024. Unknown subjects stole the victim’s locked vehicle.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 10/03/2024. The victim advised that his vehicle was stolen overnight.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 10/03/2024. An unknown subject stole the victim`s locked vehicle.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 10/05/2024. An unknown subject stole the victim`s vehicle overnight.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 10/03/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,300. An unknown offender entered the victim’s vehicle without breaking any windows. Three items were taken.
A victim of Burglary Residence was reported on 10/03/2024. The total estimated loss was $821. The victim said she believed the suspect stole items from her home while out of town.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 10/03/2024. The total estimated loss was $50. An unknown subject stole approximately $50 from the victim’s unlocked vehicle.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 10/04/2024. The total estimated loss was $50.
Arrests
Guerrier, Crystal Bianca, 29, was arrested on a charge of Battery-Touch Or Strike on 10/03/2024.
Bell, Gregory Keith, 47, was arrested on 10/05/2024 on a charge of Fraud, Impersonation, and False Identification Given To Leo.
Goussen, Marcia Ana, 47, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1 Offense at W Commercial Blvd/Florida Turnpike S on 10/06/2024.
