This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through October 28, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 10/24/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,852. A burglary conveyance occurred before a vehicle was stolen.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 10/22/2024. The total estimated loss was $840. An adult male reported his vehicle was broken into and his handgun was stolen.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 10/24/2024. Cars were burglarized.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 10/22/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,140. An unknown subject made unauthorized transactions from the victim’s bank account.
A victim of Fraud—Credit Card/ATM —was reported on 10/24/2024. The total estimated loss was $800.
A victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 10/22/2024. The total estimated loss was $155.
Threats / Intimidation
A victim of Threats / Intimidation was reported on 10/22/2024. An unknown subject(s) made threats to the victim.
Theft
Xfinity was a victim of Theft—All Other, which was reported on 10/25/2024. The total estimated loss was $6,990. A known employee stole approximately $6,990 from the business.
A victim of Theft—All Other was reported on 10/23/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,000. The victim advised that an unknown male subject took a FedEx package from her front doorstep.
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 10/26/2024. The total estimated loss was $800.
A victim of Theft—All Other was reported on 10/22/2024. The total estimated loss was $700. The victim’s known subjects stole construction tools and are attempting to sell them on Offer Up.
Publix Liquors was a victim of Theft—retail / Shoplifting at 5873 N University Drive, reported on 10/24/2024. The total estimated loss was $339. An unknown subject stole vodka from the liquor store.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 10/23/2024. The victim advised her vehicle was stolen by an unknown subject.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 10/23/2024. The husband and wife had a verbal argument, the wife stated she was battered by the husband and the husband was arrested for domestic violence.
A victim of Battery was reported on 10/24/2024. Deputies responded to the library about an altercation between two City of Tamarac workers.
Information
A victim of Information was reported on 10/24/2024. An anonymous caller advised that he observed an unknown male throw what appeared to be a bomb over the Tamarac BSO District Office fence.
Indecent Exposure
A victim of Indecent Exposure / Lewd Lascivious Act was reported on 10/25/2024. The victim reported that a male pulled down his pants, took out his penis, and began to masturbate as he was staring at her.
Assault
A victim of Aggravated Assault was reported on 10/26/2024. An unknown subject followed the victim from Coral Springs after a road rage incident. The subject brandished and pointed a black handgun at the victim.
Arrests
Visla Albarran, Norman Enrique, 21, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1 Offense on 10/23/2024.
Phidd, Garfield Anthony, 59, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 10/23/2024.
Moore, Ryan Kenroy, 40, was arrested on a charge of Indecent Exposure-Exposure Of Sexual Organs 2 Subsequent Offense on 10/25/2024.
