This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through September 30, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 09/24/2024. The defendant battered the victim.
A victim of Battery was reported on 09/24/2024. The female subject kicked down the bathroom door in the apartment, which started a physical altercation with her boyfriend. The female subject was arrested for Domestic Violence Battery.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 09/25/2024. The total estimated loss was $40. An unknown subject smashed the victim’s window and took multiple items.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 09/25/2024. The total estimated loss was $300. A Honda Civic was left unlocked, and the front driver-side airbag was stolen.
Fire
A victim of Fire was reported on 09/26/2024. A Structure Fire was reported when a dryer caught fire.
At’s-a-pizza was a Fire victim at 6714 N University Drive, reported on 09/28/2024. The kitchen of the pizza place caught on fire.
Robbery
Family Dollar was the victim of a Robbery at 3150 W Commercial Blvd, which was reported on 09/26/2024. The total estimated loss was $36. The subject was arrested after committing the robbery with a weapon.
Theft
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 09/26/2024. The total estimated loss was $155. A known subject took the victim’s wallet.
CVS was the victim of Theft—Retail / Shoplifting at 3915 W Commercial Blvd, reported on 09/27/2024. The total estimated loss was $341. An unknown subject entered the store and stole a large amount of cologne.
The View Colony West was the victim of Theft—All Other on N Pine Island Road, which was reported on 09/27/2024. The total estimated loss was $800. A safe was stolen from the office.
Alarm
Society was the victim of an Alarm / Open Door on Lagos De Campo Blvd, which was reported on 09/27/2024. A known subject maliciously pulled an apartment building fire alarm following an argument with the HOA Vice President.
Arrests
Rodriguez, Clever Bill, 39, was arrested on a charge of Felony Warrant at 8233 N Pine Island Road on 09/24/2024.
Khan, Mohammed, 26, was arrested on a charge of Battery – Cause Bodily Harm – Domestic Violence on 09/24/2024.
Bernal Perez, Alejandra, 18, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 09/24/2024.
Hamlett, Antonio, 33, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 09/24/2024.
Heron, Delano Jamarr, 28, was arrested on 09/25/2024 on a charge of Damage to Property—Criminal Mischief over 200 Dollars Under 1000 Dollars.
Jenkins, Keith Douglas, 51, was arrested on a charge of Robbery-with Weapon on 09/26/2024.
