Coral Glades High School is gearing up for a unique event that not only highlights the dedication of its students but also contributes to the conservation of the Everglades and its wildlife.

The school’s DECA chapter, under the guidance of three sophomore project managers – Dominic Ayala, Isabella Infante, and Natalia Hernandez – is spearheading a community awareness project called “Guarding the Glades.” Witch aims to raise awareness about the Everglades ecosystem and the creatures that call it home.

The collaboration between Coral Glades DECA and the Sawgrass Nature Center is awareness about the importance of preserving the Everglades and its unique biodiversity.

As part of their efforts, the students have organized a ‘Trunk Drive’ event to collect essential items that will benefit the Sawgrass Nature Center scheduled to take place on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Coral Glades High School student parking lot, at 2700 Sportsplex Dr.
