Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through September 11.
Police Assist Other Agency
A Police Assist Other Agency at Coconut Creek High School on NW 44 Avenue was reported on 09/05/2023. A threat assessment was conducted on a female 9th grader due to an arrest by Coral Springs Police.
A Police Assist Other Agency at Cube Smart on W Sample Road was reported on 09/05/2023. A family was residing in a unit at the facility.
A Police Assist Other Agency on Coconut Creek Parkway was reported on 09/07/2023. An adult female student at Dave Thomas Educational Center on Coconut Creek Parkway was found in possession of a 1 oz pepper spray. The incident was handled by Broward County SIU.
Police Information
Police Information at Country Lakes Community Center on NW 39 Avenue was reported on 09/06/2023. A homeless male fell into the pool. Fire Rescue transported the male to Northwest Medical Center.
Disorderly Conduct
Monarch High School was a victim of Disorderly Conduct on Wiles Road was reported on 09/05/2023. A tip was received from Fortify regarding a possible student with a weapon.
Vehicle Theft
A 54-year-old male was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at Casa Palma on N State Road 7 was reported on 09/06/2023.
A 43-year-old male was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at The Township Estates on NW 40 Avenue was reported on 09/07/2023.
Al Hendrickson Toyota was a victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto on W Sample Road was reported on 09/08/2023.
Theft – Retail/Shoplifting
Walmart was a victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on W Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 09/07/2023. The total estimated loss was $2,000.
Walgreens was a victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on Coconut Creek Parkway was reported on 09/08/2023. The total estimated loss was $509.
Sunglass Hut was a victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on Lyons Road was reported on 09/07/2023. The total estimated loss was $300.
Walgreens was a victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on Coconut Creek Parkway was reported on 09/08/2023. The total estimated loss was $281.
Elderly Abuse/Neglect
An 81-year-old male was the victim of Elderly Abuse/Neglect at Deerfield Lakes Mobile Home Park was reported on 09/07/2023.
Animal Bite
An Animal Bite at Regency Lakes on Egret Court was reported on 09/09/2023.
Theft
A 32-year-old female was the victim of Theft – All Other on W Atlantic Blvd was reported on 09/09/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,400.
Burglary
A 64-year-old male was the victim of Burglary Business at U-Haul on Johnson Road was reported on 09/10/2023. The total estimated loss was $5,200.
Robbery
A 57-year-old female was the victim of a Robbery Unarmed Strongarm on Coconut Creek Parkway was reported on 09/10/2023. The total estimated loss was $839.
Arrests
Murphy, Malik, Kamar, 25, was arrested on a charge of Unlawful Possession Of Another PE at 6401 Lyons Road on 09/05/2023.
Tinoco, Alvaro J., 40, was arrested on a charge of Fleeing Or Attempting To Elude A Law Enforcement Officer at 4600 Wiles Road on 09/07/2023.
Mcfadden, Sanaia, Margarita, 21, was arrested on a charge of Battery Simple Touch/Strike on 09/07/2023.
Siewrattan, Navin, 49, was arrested on a charge of Drive While License Susp Third Or Subsq Offense at 5100 NW 31 Avenue on 09/09/2023.
Siewrattan, Navin, 49, was arrested on a charge of Introducing Contraband Into the Detention Facility at 555 SE 1 Avenue on 09/09/2023.
