Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through August 28.

Theft – Retail/Shoplifting

Home Depot was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on N State Road 7 was reported on 08/22/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,344.

Sephora was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on Lyons Rd, which was reported on 08/27/2023. The total estimated loss was $548.

Kohls was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on N State Road 7 was reported on 08/27/2023. The total estimated loss was $300.

Kohls was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on N State Road 7 was reported on 08/27/2023. The total estimated loss was $388.

Theft – From Building

A 41-year-old female was the victim of Theft – From Building was reported on 08/22/2023. The total estimated loss was $5,999.

A 93-year-old female was the victim of Theft – From Building was reported on 08/22/2023. The total estimated loss was $2,900.

A 43-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From Building was reported on 08/23/2023. The total estimated loss was $2,000.

Vehicle Theft – Auto

A 30-year-old male Vehicle Theft – Auto victim on Cocoplum Circle was reported on 08/23/2023.

A 60-year-old male was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at Victoria Isles on W Copans Road, reported on 08/24/2023.

Battery – Simple Touch/Strike

A 26-year-old male was the Battery – Simple Touch/Strike victim at Banyan Pointe on Wiles Road, reported on 08/23/2023.

A 34-year-old female victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike on NW 44 Avenue was reported on 08/26/2023.

Elderly Abuse/Neglect

An 80-year-old female was the victim of Elderly Abuse/Neglect at Wynmoor was reported on 08/24/2023.

Suspicious Incident

A Suspicious Incident at Coconut Creek High School on NW 44 Avenue was reported on 08/25/2023. Threats of gun violence by unknown subject was reported.

Fraud – Use Of Credit Card

A 41-year-old female was the Fraud – Use Of Credit Card victim at Walgreens on N State Road 7, reported on 08/26/2023. The total estimated loss was $449.

A 74-year-old male was the Fraud – Use Of Credit Card victim at Publix Coconut Creek Plaza on W Hillsboro Blvd, reported on 08/25/2023.

Arrests

Viejo, Angelique, Alliyah, 26, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge at 3527 Wiles Road on 08/23/2023.

Jones, Jahan, Sabu, 30, was arrested on a Petit Theft 2 Degree 1 Offense charge at 5571 W Hillsboro Blvd on 08/24/2023.

Archer, Steven, William, 57, was arrested on a charge of Dui 1 Offense at 4500 Lyons Road on 08/25/2023.

Garcia, Jorge, 44, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge on 08/27/2023.

Scharron, Frank, 19, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1st Offense at 6000 Lyons Road on 08/27/2023.
