Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through July 31.
Vehicle Theft
Mercedes Benz Of Coconut was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto on N State Road 7 was reported on 07/25/2023. An Acura was taken from the used car parking lot.
Gunther Volkswagen was the Victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto on N State Road 7 was reported on 07/28/2023.
A 25-year-old male was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at Banyan Bay on W Atlantic Blvd was reported on 07/28/2023.
Theft – All Other
A 38-year-old male was the victim of Theft – All Other at an electric scooter that was stolen at Planet Fitness on W Hillsboro Blvd on 07/25/2023. The total estimated loss was: $500.
A 35-year-old female was the victim of Theft – All Other on N State Road 7 was reported on 07/25/2023. The total estimated loss was: $70.
Battery
A 24-year-old female was the victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at Riviera Palms on Lyons Road was reported on 07/25/2023.
A 41-year-old male was the victim of an Aggravated Battery at Home Depot on N State Road 7 was reported on 07/28/2023. The total estimated loss was: $836.
Flee/Elude Law Enforcement
A victim of Flee/Elude Law Enforcement on W Sample Road/Lyons Road was reported on 07/25/2023. A black Honda Accord fled from a traffic stop.
Property – Stolen/Buy/Sell/Possess
A 31-year-old female was the victim of Property – Stolen/Buy/Sell/Possess on W Copans Road reported on 07/28/2023.
Aggravated Assault
A 57-year-old male was the victim of an Aggravated Assault reported on 07/28/2023. During a road rage incident, the subject pointed a firearm at the victim from vehicle.
Elderly Abuse/Neglect
A 94-year-old female at Wynmoor was the victim of Elderly Abuse/Neglect, reported on 07/28/2023.
Theft – From Motor Vehicle
A victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle was reported on 07/29/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,600. The theft occurred in the Texas Roadhouse parking lot.
A 31-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From Motor Vehicle was reported on 07/30/2023. The total estimated loss was: $880.
Disturbance
Disturbance – Verbal on W Sample Road was reported on: 07/30/2023. The known subject made threats to shoot employees at Fire Grills Bar.
Arrests
Demarco, Anthony, Michael, 30, was arrested on a Larceny Of Credit Card charge on 07/25/2023.
Powell, Joshua, Herman, 22, was arrested on a charge of Fraud – Traffic In Stolen Id at 3570 W Atlantic Blvd on 07/26/2023.
Gasparlopez, Andres, Gaspar, 26, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1 Offense at 4550 W Hillsboro Blvd on 07/28/2023.
Charles, Judenson, 20, was arrested on a Grand Theft /Auto charge at 3400 W Copans Road on 07/28/2023.
Parker, Dean, Edward, 41, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Assault W / Deadly Weapon Without Intent To Kill on 07/28/2023.
Hippolyte, Johnny, 49, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Battery With a Deadly Weapon on 07/28/2023.
Stone, Jeffrey Allen, 64, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated at 4700 Lyons Road on 07/29/2023.
Cooper, Christopher, Lenell, 40, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge on 07/30/2023.
