This is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through June 3, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents.

Theft

A victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle at Karanda Village VI was reported on 06/02/2024. The total estimated loss was $150.

A victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto on W Atlantic Blvd was reported on 05/28/2024.

A victim of Vehicle Theft – Motorcycle at Banyan Pointe on Wiles Road was reported on 05/31/2024

A victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at Regency Lakes on Pelican Street was reported on 06/02/2024.

A victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at Coconut Palm Club on NW 55 Blvd 06/02/2024.

Harassment

A victim of Electronic Harassment at Banyan Trails on Banyan Trails Drive was reported on 05/28/2024.

Battery / Child Abuse

Police Assist – Other Agency at Bell Coconut Creek on W Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 05/28/2024. Allegations of Battery / Child Abuse that occurred at Summit Academy Charter School in Coral Springs.

Fraud

JK Closing was a victim of Fraud – Worthless Check / Obtain Property on Wiles Road was reported on 05/30/2024. The total estimated loss was $4,900.

A victim of Fraud – Wire / Computer at Baywood Village II on NW 22 Street was reported on 05/30/2024. The total estimated loss was $500.

Threat Assessment

Threat Assessment Report at Lyons Creek Middle on Sol Press Blvd was reported on 05/31/2024. A concerning video of a student on Instagram was reported.

Assault

A victim of Aggravated Assault on Banks Road was reported on 05/31/2024. A resident had an altercation with 2 lawn crew members; both parties accused the other of pulling a weapon.  No witnesses, no video, no evidence, no arrests were made.

Burglary

Dunkin Donuts was a victim of Burglary – Business on Coconut Creek Parkway was reported on 06/01/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,050.

Injured Person

Injured Person on Lucaya Bend a 75-year-old male shot himself in the thigh by accident while cleaning his weapon was reported on 06/01/2024.

Arrests

Ojeda, Victor Emmanuel, 24, was arrested on a charge of Resist / Obstruct W/Out Violence at 4400 Wiles Road on 05/28/2024.

Cruz, Tatiana Ariella, 21, was arrested on a charge of Vehicular Homicide at 4200 Lyons Road on 05/29/2024.

Cagle, Christopher, 64, was arrested on a charge of Child Abuse W/O Great Harm at 5050 Wiles Road on 05/30/2024.

Prince, Cassi, 47, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike / Battery / Domestic Violence on 05/30/2024.

Poveda, Alejandro, 54, was arrested on a charge of Allow Minor Alcohol / Drugs At an Open House Party at 5022 Heron Court on 05/31/2024.

Carter, Antonio Breon, 45, was arrested on 06/01/2024 for Burglary (Dwelling) at 5340 NW 55 Blvd.

Ellis, Sinclair Jamaal, 43, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike / Battery / Dating Violence at 5340 NW 55 Blvd on 06/01/2024.

Adams, Dakota Cole, 32, was arrested on a charge of Battery / Simple on an Officer Or Firefighter on 06/02/2024.
