Coconut Creek Crime Update: Islamic Learning Center Falls Victim To Harassing Phone Calls

This is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through April 22, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents.

Burglary

The Hook-Up Smoke And Skate Shop was the victim of Burglary – Business on N State Road 7 that was reported on 04/16/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,200.

Tom Stevens Optical was the victim of Burglary – Business on Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 04/16/2024.

A victim of Burglary Conveyance at Regency Lakes was reported on 04/18/2024. The total estimated loss was $212.

Harass

A victim of Phone Calls – Harassment at the Islamic Learning Center on W Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 04/16/2024.

A victim of Phone Calls – Harassment at Physician Care Centers on Coconut Creek Parkway was reported on 04/17/2024.

Theft

Sunglass Hut was the victim of Theft—retail/Shoplifting on Lyons Road, which was reported on 04/19/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,731.

A victim of Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories at Waterview Apartments on W Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 04/18/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,500. The theft of a catalytic converter by an unknown suspect(s) was reported.

A victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle at the Chevron Gas Station was reported on 04/17/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,050. A purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle while the owner was getting gas.

A victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle at Cypress Shores on Lyons Road was reported on 04/17/2024. The total estimated loss was $740.

A victim of Theft from a Building on Granada Drive was reported on 04/16/2024. The victim returned home from a weeklong vacation to find a bass guitar missing. The only entry into the home was the pest control service.

A victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at Centerpointe on NW 49 Terrace was reported on 04/19/2024.

Threat Assessment

Threat Assessment Report at Lyons Creek Middle School on Sol Press Blvd was reported on 04/17/2024. A 13-year-old female reported a concerning statement made by a 14-year-old male.

Fraud

A victim of Fraud – Other on NW 50th Street was reported on 04/18/2024. The total estimated loss was $759. An unknown subject fraudulently represented Uber to take earnings.

Robbery

A victim of Robbery – Armed Robbery of an electric bicycle on Cocoplum Circle / Lyons Road was reported on 04/18/2024. The total estimated loss was $650.

Unlawful Discharge

A victim of a Weapon – Unlawful Discharge at Cypress Shores on Lyons Road was reported on 04/20/2024. Shots were fired near the dumpster.

Arrests

Dasilva, Adrielly Teixeira, 27, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 04/16/2024.

Leeper, Stanley Edward, 52, was arrested on 04/16/2024 on a charge of Burglary—Unoccupied Structure—Unarmed at 6738 N State Road 7.

Germain, David Jones, 26, was arrested on a charge of Grand Theft >$750< $5000 at 6574 N State Road 7 04/16/2024.

Jackson, Tabresha Ranese, 25, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Assault W/ Deadly Weapon Without Intent To Kill on 04/17/2024.

Leeper, Stanley Edward, 52, was arrested on a charge of Burglary Unoccupied Structure Unarmed at 4800 Hillsboro Blvd on 04/17/2024.
